Does Alternative Health Solutions ACCEPT MY INSURANCE?

We make it simple and easy for you to file DIRECTLY to your insurance company to get reimbursed.  At each visit you are provided a receipt designed specifically for the purpose of insurance reimbursement.  This "Walk-out Receipt" provides your insurance company with all of the necessary doctors information as well as the information required for the services provided.  You simply mail the Walk-out Receipt along with your claim form.

• We ask that you pay for services, in full, as they are rendered.
• Reimbursement to you is based upon your insurance plan as purchased by you or your employer.  We are NOT in contract (In-Network) with any insurance company.
• We are an Out-of-Network provider.
• If you have Out-of-Network Chiropractic coverage your reimbursement will based upon what your insurance company pays for the service and what your portion is.  

In order to keep the focus and attention on YOU we choose to be a Private Pay Practice.  By eliminating the overhead of staffing for insurance filing and collection we "raise the bar on your standard of care".  We do not believe in pushing as many patients through the door as possible (known as Volume Based Practice).  We pursue excellence at all times.  We provide the HIGHEST QUALITY, CUTTING EDGE CARE in a kind and loving enviromment. 

How do I find out how much my insurance company will reimburse?

We recommend that you call your insurance company and ask a few specific questions:

1. Do I have "out-of-network chiropractic" benefits?
2. What is my annual deductible?
3. Do I have a family deductible? If yes, what is that amount?
4. What amount have I met on both deductables as of this date? 
5. Is my coverage based upon a calendar year? If not, what is it?
6. After my deductable is met what percentage is covered? 
7. Are there any limitations or restrictions on my coverage?  If yes, what are they? (example: number of visits per year, number of manipulations per year )
   

This information will allow you to make an informed decision regarding your health and well being.

Why does AHS choose to be an "Out of Network" provider?

We work for YOU, not your insurance company.

When a doctor chooses to accept "in-network" benefits, they contract with the insurance company.  Usually this means the doctor agrees to charge or accept less per service (a set amount per procedure) or get paid more if services or tests are NOT performed.  They are saying that they are willing to reduce their fees in exchange for increasing the volume of patients seen.  They have to write off any balance remaining after the contracted insurance payment.  The more patient's seen the more contracted payments.

Not all doctors like having to treat and care for the patients in this manner - it is strictly a numbers game.  They must see a set number of patients in order to meet their financial requirements, their overhead.  You have probably experienced this yourself. 

• Ever felt like you've been booked with another patient for the same doctor at the same time?  You Have!  It's called double, triple, etc. booking and it is done on a regular basis in the medical industry.
• Felt rushed by the doctor?  Waited for an hour to be seen by the nursing staff for 5 minutes and by the doctor even less?  How did that make you feel?

Simply put...we do not contract with any insurance company because our goals and values are not the same.  We choose to spend extended periods of time with each patient, from the initial consultation to the in-depth examination and into the treatment phase.  There is an emphasis on educating you, helping you understand the cause and solution to your health problems - we partner with you, for you.
